Along with a wide variety of pumpkins and gourds, we also have straw bales ($8) and cornstalks ($5/bundle).
The field is open for pick your own pumpkins Friday (12-6pm), Saturday (8am-6pm) and Sunday (8am-6pm).

Pick your own Pumpkin starts this weekend!!
We'll be opening up the pumpkin patch every Friday, Saturday, Sunday starting Friday, Sept. 13th unti Halloween.
Take a drive out to the farm, bring the whole family, stroll through the pumpkin patch and find your perfect pumpkin.
There is no cost to enter the field; only pay for the pumpkins you want to take home!

It's pumpkin season!
The farm stand looks a little brighter, and feels a little more like fall now that the fall display is up.
We've got pumpkins in a variety of colours and sizes, including a couple of new kinds this year. Take a drive to the farm to check them out.
Along with the pumpkins, we have straw, gourds and cornstalks.
Maple Sugar and Sugar Belle are back!
This will be the last 2 varieties of corn for the season so come and get it while you can. We have plenty to last through the weekend and into next week.
We still have acorn, spaghetti and butternut squash as well.

Yesterday, we met Meghan, from Brighter with Blooms. They are a local small business providing home grown, fresh cut flower bouquets. You can now find their beautiful bouquets at our stand.
Rocket is back!
It is our best-selling yellow variety, and a great choice for the freezer.
We also have Maple Sugar on the stand right now, but it's nearing the end of the batch. When it runs out, we'll have Temptation.

With the beautiful, hot weather, our sweet corn has been ripening FAST! We have 2 more varieties ready today, and expect more by the weekend!
Rocket is a yellow variety, and our favourite to put in the freezer. Temptation is a bi-colour variety. Both have nice, big cobs and delicious flavour! We still have Express Lane on the stand as well.

After a busy spring planting season, sweet corn is finally here!! Starting today, we have Express Lane, our earliest bi-colour variety, on the stand.
We have many more delicious varieties coming (keep an eye on the website or our Facebook, Instagram pages for updates when each variety is ready), and will have sweet corn on the stand until early September.
Aside from the sweet corn, we've got our pumpkins planted and on their way, and new this year we have zucchini (ready now), acorn squash and spaghetti squash (both coming soon), and butternut squash.
As always, we strive to keep our prices affordable (we know how expensive groceries can be!!), so we've kept our sweet corn prices the same as last year: $8/baker's dozen, $4 for 6, or $1 per cob; and we are offering zucchini as "Pay what you want"
We are open 7 days a week, from sun up to sun down. We accept cash and e-transfer.

We weren't sure we'd get the sweet corn planted on time with all the rain in the forecast, but we saw our chance yesterday.
Seven Acres sweet corn season is just a couple of months away...
The winter months are much quieter on the farm, but we still find things to do! We pureed and froze some of our pie pumpkins this fall so that we could use it for soup and baked goodies all winter long. This weekend, we made Whole Wheat Pumpkin Muffins.

Are you ready for Halloween?? The countdown is on!
The farm will be open for pre-picked and Pick Your Own Pumpkins every day until Halloween. And pumpkins are all 1/2 price!
We've got our jack-o-lanterns carved and all lit up. If you don't have yours yet, come out to the farm today... we've got lots to choose from.

But the great news is Pick Your Own Pumpkins is open rain or shine and starting Friday until Halloween all of our pumpkins will be half price!!

Pumpkins range from $0.50 (mini pumpkins and gourds) to $4 (large carving pumpkins).

The fields are looking a little different these days... Not quite as green, but lots of orange peeking through

The sweet corn season is winding down. We started picking our last 2 batches this morning.
Today we have freshly picked Maple Sugar (bi-colour), Sugar Belle (yellow) and Liberty (white) in the shed. Maple Sugar and Sugar Belle will last throughout the weekend.
If you're thinking of making up some freezer corn or canning for the winter months, don't wait as this weekend will likely be the the last weekend for sweet corn.
Also, a reminder that our pumpkin display is setup and we are in full fall decorating mode. We have pumpkins, gourds, straw bales and corn stalks.
Our "Pick Your Own Pumpkin" experience will start on September 29th and run through until Halloween. The "Pick Your Own Pumpkin" will be open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, but all other days, you can still swing by to choose from what we have pre-picked and on display.
We have a very large selection of pumpkins to choose from this year; 28 different varieties! Come check out one of our new additions to the pumpkin line-up, called "Popcorn" pumpkins.

Our white sweet corn "Liberty" is ready!!It is sweet and tender and delicious. We added this all-white variety to the Seven Acres line-up last year, and just knew we had to bring it back again this year. If you haven't tried it yet, come on out and get some!

We have a new sweet corn variety on the stand today; it's called Majestic. It is a bicolour variety and has been a customer favourite for years.

The straw bales are ready too. They are the perfect size for fall decorating if you want to get a head start!
Finally! The yellow sweet corn is ready and freshly picked this morning. It's called "Rocket". This variety is the Farm Favourite. It's sooo yummy. You have to try it :)
In addition to Rocket, we still have 2 bi-coloured varieties on the stand: Unity and Temptation. Today is the last day for Unity.

Seven Acres will open on Thursday, July 27th. Some of you will know us as "Greg's Sweet Corn".
The cost will be $8 dollars for a baker's dozen (13 cobs). $4 dollars for 6 cobs and $1 dollar per cob. At this great price, I encourage you to come visit our charming little shack!
Please bring your own reusable bags or simply grab an armful.
Seven Acres specializes in Sweet Corn, Pumpkins and Fall Décor (Straw Bales, Corn Stalks & Gourds) and Campfire Wood.
Starting on Thursday, we will have Sweet Corn and Campfire Wood. Straw Bales will be available in about 1 week. The Pumpkins and the rest of our Fall Décor starts in late August.
Getting close... we hope to open Thursday or Friday this week.
The Sweet Corn is almost ready. We expect it to be about another 5-7 days.
