The winter months are much quieter on the farm, but we still find things to do! We pureed and froze some of our pie pumpkins this fall so that we could use it for soup and baked goodies all winter long. This weekend, we made Whole Wheat Pumpkin Muffins.

The Seven Acres Family would like to wish everyone a wonderful, safe & healthy 2024.
Thank you to all of our customers who had a chance to make it out to the farm in 2023. It's amazing to have such a wonderful community support our small business.
We had the pleasure of putting in a farm float into the Ingleside Santa Clause Parade and we were able to get all of our amazing helpers out to join us (except for 3).

Are you ready for Halloween?? The countdown is on!
The farm will be open for pre-picked and Pick Your Own Pumpkins every day until Halloween. And pumpkins are all 1/2 price!
We've got our jack-o-lanterns carved and all lit up. If you don't have yours yet, come out to the farm today... we've got lots to choose from.

The not-so-good news is that we're in for another weekend of rain
But the great news is Pick Your Own Pumpkins is open rain or shine and starting Friday until Halloween all of our pumpkins will be half price!!
If you haven't grabbed your carving pumpkins yet, come see us this weekend
Admission to the pumpkin patch is free; just pay for your pumpkins.
Pumpkins range from $0.50 (mini pumpkins and gourds) to $4 (large carving pumpkins).
And $12 for the giants.
We still have straw bales for $5.

Looks like it's going to be another rainy fall weekend, but we're still ready and open every day for all of your fall decor and Halloween pumpkins
The pick your own field is open 7am-7pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday and we have lots of pre-picked pumpkins and gourds.
Straw bales are now only $5!
Entry to the pumpkin patch is free...just pay for the pumpkins you pick. Pumpkins range from $1-$8.

We are ready for another Pick Your Own Pumpkin weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). It looks like we'll get some sunshine for this one so it's the perfect weekend to get outside, enjoy the fall weather, and pick up some pumpkins for Halloween. There are hundreds of them in the pumpkin patch ready for picking or you can choose from our pre-picked ones at the stand.

Pick Your Own Pumpkin starts tomorrow and runs all weekend, including Monday!!
Take a drive out to the farm, bring the whole family and stroll through the field to pick out your own pumpkins to take home.
The field is full and the stand is stocked. We have more than 20 varieties of pumpkins and gourds for you to pick from. And don't forget about straw bales and cornstalks to complete your fall decor.
There is no fee to enter the field; just pay for the pumpkins you pick.
Pumpkin prices range in price from $1 to $10 depending on size and variety.

Fall has arrived
The fields are looking a little different these days... Not quite as green, but lots of orange peeking through
The stand is open every day and stocked with pumpkins and gourds in every size and colour!
We've got straw bales and cornstalks for decorating as well.

The sweet corn season is winding down. We started picking our last 2 batches this morning.
Today we have freshly picked Maple Sugar (bi-colour), Sugar Belle (yellow) and Liberty (white) in the shed. Maple Sugar and Sugar Belle will last throughout the weekend.
If you're thinking of making up some freezer corn or canning for the winter months, don't wait as this weekend will likely be the the last weekend for sweet corn.
Also, a reminder that our pumpkin display is setup and we are in full fall decorating mode. We have pumpkins, gourds, straw bales and corn stalks.
Our "Pick Your Own Pumpkin" experience will start on September 29th and run through until Halloween. The "Pick Your Own Pumpkin" will be open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, but all other days, you can still swing by to choose from what we have pre-picked and on display.
We have a very large selection of pumpkins to choose from this year; 28 different varieties! Come check out one of our new additions to the pumpkin line-up, called "Popcorn" pumpkins.

We found the end of the rainbow right in the middle of the sweet corn and pumpkin field. No pot of gold, but beautiful nonetheless.
Majestic, Rocket and Liberty are available today.
We are on to our final planting of sweet corn , and should have some available for another 10-14 days. If you haven't had your fill yet, come and pick some up before you miss your chance.

Maple Sugar is back! The first batch was a huge success, and Maple Sugar has been our most requested variety this season.

Our white sweet corn "Liberty" is ready!!It is sweet and tender and delicious. We added this all-white variety to the Seven Acres line-up last year, and just knew we had to bring it back again this year. If you haven't tried it yet, come on out and get some!

Good morning!
We have a new sweet corn variety on the stand today; it's called Majestic. It is a bicolour variety and has been a customer favourite for years.
We also have Rocket and Temptation still on the stand.
Come on out to the farm and grab some of your favourite, or try all 3!
Our white sweet corn "Liberty" is 1-3 days away.
The straw bales are ready too. They are the perfect size for fall decorating if you want to get a head start!

Finally! The yellow sweet corn is ready and freshly picked this morning. It's called "Rocket". This variety is the Farm Favourite. It's sooo yummy. You have to try it :)
In addition to Rocket, we still have 2 bi-coloured varieties on the stand: Unity and Temptation. Today is the last day for Unity.

Our opening day yesterday was a huge success!
It was so great to start off the new season with family, friends, neighbours and everyone from our community (some familiar faces and some new) who stopped by the farm. We are grateful for the support from each and every one of you😊
The stand is full of "Express Lane" right now, an early variety bi-coloured sweet corn🌽. With the rain and the hot weather🌞, the fields are ripening well and we'll have more varieties out in the next week. (Keep an eye on our page...we'll post as the new ones become available)

The Sweet Corn is 2 days away!
Seven Acres will open on Thursday, July 27th. Some of you will know us as "Greg's Sweet Corn".
The cost will be $8 dollars for a baker's dozen (13 cobs). $4 dollars for 6 cobs and $1 dollar per cob. At this great price, I encourage you to come visit our charming little shack!
Please bring your own reusable bags or simply grab an armful.
Seven Acres specializes in Sweet Corn, Pumpkins and Fall Décor (Straw Bales, Corn Stalks & Gourds) and Campfire Wood.
Starting on Thursday, we will have Sweet Corn and Campfire Wood. Straw Bales will be available in about 1 week. The Pumpkins and the rest of our Fall Décor starts in late August.
